1. What a Digital Sports Card is
An IBTV Digital Sports Card ("DSC") is a digital collectible and verified sports-identity card connected to a member's live IBTV profile. It may show the member's photo, sport and role, verified facts, ratings, highlights and a link to their profile. A DSC may be recorded on a public blockchain.
These DSC Terms add to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If they conflict, these DSC Terms apply to DSCs.
2. What you own
If you obtain a DSC, you receive:
- ownership of that digital collectible and its record, including its edition number;
- a personal, non-commercial licence to display the card image, for example on your own social media, website or digital wallet, with credit to IBTV;
- the access benefits described for that card's edition at the time you obtained it, such as supporter recognition or content access;
- the right to transfer the DSC, but only if and when IBTV enables transfers for that edition, under the rules and fees disclosed at that time.
3. What you do not own
A DSC does not give you, and buying, holding or selling one never transfers:
- any ownership of, or control over, the member, their career, contracts, decisions or identity;
- any rights in the member's name, image, likeness, voice or media beyond the display licence above;
- any share of the member's or IBTV's earnings, revenue, sponsorships, media rights or fees;
- any equity, debt, dividend, interest, yield or voting rights in IBTV;
- any right to use the card, the member's likeness or IBTV trademarks commercially (for example on merchandise or in advertising).
4. Not an investment
A DSC is a collectible and an engagement product, not an investment. IBTV does not promise, and you should not expect, that a DSC will keep or gain value or produce any return. Its value, if any, can go down to zero. IBTV does not arrange exchange listings, guarantee prices or buy back cards. Do not buy a DSC with money you need.
5. Members and consent
A DSC is issued for a member only with that member's consent, and for a member under 18, with their parent or guardian's consent. Members keep ownership of their own content and may update their profile; the card's live information reflects their verified profile.
IBTV ratings and rankings shown on a card are based on verified evidence only and are never influenced by card prices, sales or popularity.
6. Editions and supply
Each DSC edition states its edition name, issue date, number issued (supply) and benefits before you obtain it. IBTV will not secretly issue additional cards of a limited edition.
7. Updates and history
The card's design stays recognizable, while selected information (team, status, statistics, awards, verification date, interviews) can update. Important changes are kept in a visible verification history rather than silently overwritten.
Benefits attached to an edition may change or end; we will give reasonable notice. If a member leaves IBTV, or a card must be withdrawn for legal, safety or consent reasons, IBTV may stop displaying the member's information on the card while the anonymous on-chain record remains.
8. Purchases, fees and refunds
Where DSCs are offered for purchase, the price, taxes, any marketplace or network fees and the refund rules are shown before you pay. Payment, refund and cryptocurrency rules in our Terms of Service apply.
Public sales and trading of DSCs are offered only after approval by IBTV management and legal review, and only where permitted by the laws that apply to you.
9. Blockchain and wallet risks
If a DSC is held in a digital wallet, you are responsible for that wallet and its recovery phrase. IBTV cannot recover cards sent to a wrong address or lost wallets. Blockchain networks can change, slow down or fail, which may affect how a card is displayed or transferred.
10. Taxes and legal compliance
You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you when you obtain, hold or transfer a DSC. You may not use DSCs for unlawful activity, including money laundering or sanctions evasion.
